I keep trying to reduce the drama in my life but at times it is hard when others want to create it. I just try to back down and move from it.

Oh Drama, Drama, Drama! It has been the core of my life for years until only a year ago. I grew up in a family that truly fought every single day. (This is why I moved out when I was 16 years old) Since then I have always tried to stay out of the drama but it always seemed to be there. What I realized was that I ALLOWED it to be there and now I live my life as drama free as possible. I basically cut off the surroundings in my life that would bring this and officially let certain family members know how I was feeling and that I would not allow any of it in my life anymore! And for the most part IT WORKED! I now live day to day in more peace than ever!

That is why I really enjoyed this video because I learned the hard way the message you shared here and actually learned more on this aspect of my life because of your video! You are absolutely right and thank you so much for this!

What always shocks me is that people think that drama is something that is created in the outside world; but in actuality, drama really starts from within. once you can quiet the inner drama and make piece with the person the mirror, you will notice that exterior drama never seems to reach you…wonderful post!

Addiction to drama and chaos is very common in today’s world. I have clients who whirl in the door in a flurry of stress and chaos…I like to spend some time sorting that out before we address the bodywork. It’s hard to change your physical being when your mind is wrapped in drama, and the opposite is also true.

It is amazing how much we torment ourselves. Our internal dramas don’t change anything about our external reality, so there really isn’t much point to them. Focusing our efforts on finding solutions to our problems is far more effective in bringing peace. And if there is nothing we can change, then there truly is no point in the drama. Might as well choose peace instead.

Great post Katie! I’ve found that as I become more in tune with my authentic self I’m more easily able to resist the urge to allow drama to affect my life. When I choose to stay in the moment and trust that everything always works out for me, the fears and worries that used to creep into my life don’t have a chance.

In every situation we have a choice to focus on faith or fear. Faith is better

Making the choice of Peace in the midst of Drama can be a struggle if you don’t know how to do it. One technique I use is Pause, Breathe Deeply and Slowly into my Belly, Lower my Shoulders from my Ears, See that Worrying Doesn’t Help the Issue, Me, or the People Around Me. I then Get Grateful (http://www.samahern.com/2009/09/02/an-attitude-of-gratitude/).
Life then seems to get a whole lot lighter.
