<description>Thank you for sharing... This is great! I suffer with BLOCK all the time. I usually find that when I am trying too hard, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anything done. What I like to do is get a good work out because I can mentally work through all the garbage that is going though my thoughts and then kind of narrow things down from there. The I start with brief notes on the subject as an outline, then I transfer it to paper/computer. This seems to work for me.

This is a great post Katie - just love all of the value content you have provide to all of us.

<description>Katie... what a great cure! I have moments where I just get caught up in what I am doing and how many things I need to get done... it will block my creative energy which in return can stop me from writing, etc. So I definitely agree with everything you said here!

I always LOVE to be inspired. It is the high of my day truly. And every time I do this (you are very right I might add) I feel so much more creative, motivated and in the flow of things! A few things that truly inspire me are:

1. Music! I LOVE music... If I am feeling down in all honesty I will start cleaning my house (weird I know, but cleaning calms me) and putting on some positive music in the background. And I will admit I jam out, dance, sing... whatever while I am cleaning. My daughters do this with me, so much fun!

2. Spend time with my daughters. Take them to the park, spend time with them in the backyard playing, actually sit down and play with them in their room, etc. They ARE my inspiration, so honestly just looking at them or spending time with them gives me everything I need! They are my whole reason for doing all of this!

3.Watch an inspiring movie. I love The Secret and The Pursuit Of Happyness! There are tons others, but those two always get me inspired and ready to go!

4. Taking a walk or jog, going to the gym. I always feel so much better once I go to the gym. I LOVE to do Zumba.. which always gets me pumped up, happy and inspired. So much fun!

5. And of course Videos! I always love to listen to your videos, Amanda&#039;s videos or anyone who truly teaches and inspires me. Anything on personal development or building a better you will inspire me and open my mind!

Thank you so much for this... I actually wish I had a Ocean I could go to! That is one of my favorite places to relax, revamp and re-energize! I was born and raised in CA but now live in Phoenix, AZ... a little far from the beach! lol :) Great video and thanks for the Writer&#039;s Block Cure!

<description>Writer&#039;s block is the pits. I will often have floods of ideas and when I sit down to write or record a video my mind blanks. It usually means I need to slow down and do something relaxing to center myself again.

<description>I would not use the word inspiring for those things that you described. I would call it things where you do not think. Eckhart Tolle would call it being in the present. I could use the word that psychologists use but I think it is a bad word since it is associated with other things.

But here is how they found this thing. A guy (a psychologist&#039;s brother) started looking through his microscope at crystals in the morning. Then after an hour or 2 he had trouble seeing through the microscope. The reason was because it was using the light from outside and it was now getting dark out. So he had spent the entire day doing this and it only felt like an hour so the psychologists describe it as an experience where time stops.

Of course this is where you stop thinking. Your body lives in space and your mind lives in time. But your soul lives in that place that is beyond time and space. The psychologists call it &#039;flow.&#039; This is also the secret to happiness.

The best ways of producing this have been around for thousands of years like yoga, martial arts and meditation. But a new way of producing this type of consciousness is sudoku. I actuallly have a webpage all about it. http://www.phifoundation.org/enlightenment.html Money cannot bring you happiness but the flow experience can.

<description>Katie, I am suffering from writers block right now and so I took you advice walked away from the computer, I took a couple of deep breaths and I actually cleared my mind and a topic came to me just like that and the thoughts started to flow again and I was back in business. Thanks so much this really worked!

		<description>Aloha Katie:
I&#039;ve found that when I feel stuck in activity I am putting too much emphasis on the &quot;thinking&quot; processes. What I do to inspire myself and get reconnected is I take a break. Simple! I go out and play with my kittens, pet my dogs, I sit under the big mango tree out front and just allow the wind to touch my face. I breath and repeat the words, trust, love, peace of mind...and this immediately shifts me out from being in control, to being at peace!

Thanks a bunch Katie!
btw, I just rememebered to tell you how much I loved the background of the shoji door in one of your videos. This background too, looks and feels very peaceful!

		<description>Hi Katie,
Great topic! I myself go for a run and find it gets my creative juices flowing (and I&#039;m not talking about the sweat, either). The only problem I have is that I get so many darn ideas while running that I only recall about half of them by the time I get back! Seriously though, you are bang on with your advice and I completely agree that you can&#039;t MAKE yourself write, it has to come naturally. So rather than wasting time trying to force it, change it up and try something else - the inspiration will come and it might not be what you originally intended in the first place, but that&#039;s totally okay too!
Keep up the great work and I&#039;ll pop in to see what you&#039;re up to.

		<description>Thanks Katie,

That is a great tip for getting through writer&#039;s block. I have a part inside that seems to be stuck in procrastination mode and I usually just try to come back another time when the energy is flowing better.

I&#039;ll try being more proactive with it through inspirational activities now that you&#039;ve brought it to my awareness.

For me, I have a baseball tee and net set up in my garage so I just go out there and hit balls for a while. It really helps me get out of my head and back into my body. Of course, sometimes its good to take a walk, dance to some music, or do some yoga stuff, those all help too.

Cheers,

Ryan
P.S. Powerful site you have here, this is my first time visiting and you&#039;ve done a great job. Take care.
