The Power of Now… The Secret to Life Transformation

April 9, 2009

Eckhart Tolle is one of my favorite authors and he is best known for his best selling books ‘The Power of Now’ and ‘A New Earth’. Both of these books have inspired profound transformations in my life and have helped me understand my true Self at a much deeper level… Check out this video I made below about HOW living in the present moment can literally free you from any suffering you may be experiencing and create a space for your true power to shine forth. Thank you for using your site to share this with others… I’ve found that Eckhart Tolle has done a wonderful job breaking into a lot of people’s lives who wouldn’t otherwise turn toward spiritual exploration, and as more people are introduced to his teachings, I see firsthand people are both broadening and deepening their own personal searches. In my own view, I think many people have found themselves turned off at young age by spirituality, often because they associate it with a religion they “inherited” that doesn’t necessarily speak to them. But Eckhart Tolle’s books and teachings have begun to open people up to the true simplicity and profoundness spirituality can bring into each and every one of our lives. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to comment.

Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now is also one of my favorites! I feel so empowered reading Tolle’s book and realizing the truth that’s in it!

I’m only about 1/3 of the way through Eckhart’s Power of Now, but I’m already so amazed. It makes so much sense to me and I can see myself mastering the ability to stay in the Now. It has already lifted my spirits. It is so true that there are no problems in the Now, only peace and happiness.
Katie, I want to deeply thank you for recommending this book. I can see that you understand and use Eckhart’s teachings since it shows in your personality and your teachings.
So thank you wo much again!!
Have a fantastic day!

Hey Katie,

As usual, you’ve hit this one right on the nail! True happiness and success can only be gained when we deny the ego and live from the state of grace that this brings about.

I love the point you made, that your personal transformations came before your incredible success. We all need to realize that there is no true success in life without enlightenment, and that success is often times the direct result of becoming one with our true selves.

Keep that great stuff coming, girl….and rock on!

We are a spiritual being having a temporary human experience. This is only our temporary home and our temporary clothes. When we forget our place in the grand scheme of things, it becomes easy for the ego to start filling in the blanks with ego-talk!

Learning to develop “an attitude of gratitude” is one of the quickest ways to start rein in the ego’s chatty mouth that runs on and on in our minds. When we focus on what is going right and going well, the negativity has to come to a rapid halt!

What powerful applications of the Power of Now!

I read both books and A New Earth is about one thousand times better than The Power of Now. That is a good analogy about filling a bucket with holes in it. You are very good at teaching about Tolle’s teachings.

The only problem is that Tolle does not know what to do to get to this state since he got to it by accident himself.

Very interesting post. I actually have this book and have never read it. I started to read it once and for some reason I did not finish this one.

I agree with Chuck that you are a very good teacher. I plan on pulling this book back out soon and actually reading it next time.
