Hey Katie,

Excellent post! I think the mindset that you carry into anything that is going to take work to become reality will always have a certain level of fear to anything unknown. The key is to understand where the fear comes from and redirect that energy to accomplish whatever task you set out to achieve.

Thanks for your perspective on dealing with fear. I think your proposed method will work. However, I would prefer to focus on the future “pleasure” resulting from my taking positive actions today. Just sounds a little like too much focus on pain and negative emotions.

Hi Katie,

You’ve done an outstanding job of looking at fear in a different light.

This is huge because of how much fear holds people back from what they want in life.

Changing the way we think of it is very helpful.

The Law of Attraction in action! Watching this video is EXACTLY what I need right NOW!!! For me it’s the fear of not ever walking again! The fear of not being ‘right’ about the body healng itself given the proper nutrition and lifestyle. I’ve been saying for years that if the progression of MS would stop, I’d be able to develop new pathways in my brain and re-learn to walk. Now as I’m experiencing new ‘MS action’ while I’m eating properly, exercising, and living an awesome lifestyle, I’m full of fear! I will take your advice! I will take action, confront my fear and grow and progress! It will be fun to watch how quickly I can re-learn to walk!!

Wonderful Video reminder of what we all know, and just forget to follow from time to time. Some times you just laze out and get stuck, because it feels easier. Of course like you just pointed out, if you think about it, staying stuck in the same place is going to be or become more painful then taking action and getting a move on to that place you really want to be.

Dear Katie,
The video that you had posted reminded me of what my life is suppose to be like and what I’m not doing…right. I feel so worthless and miserable most of the time until I feel like life, itself, is a waste of time. I know I shouldn’t feel like that, but thats because I need and WILL make a change. I will put much more effort in my transition of life and start today. I want to be able to defeat depression, stress, FEAR, anxiety, and any other negative influence that comes in my life that tries to bring me down. Your video helped me out alot. Katie, thank you. I know that making a change does takes time, and MY TIME…I will use wisely.

Goodmorning Katie,
This is another awesome video and I agree 100 percent on the cleansing of the body and mind. Although many people do not know about body and mind cleanse, everyone should be told of the effects of it. I belong to a group called Mentoring for Free. You most likely have heard of Michael and Linda Dlouhy. Michael has a 30 day cleanse and it is truly amazing how well it changes the lives of those involved. You and Michael are two of a kind. You both are trying to make this a better world for all of us and I love you both for the time and energy you put into everything you do. Please keep on doing what you are doing.
Have a great day and I look forward to your next video.

Hey Katie,

That was a VERY powerful video. I always thought that overcoming fears was just doing what you were scared to do and making your desire more powerful. I really liked how you shifted our fears and pains to what the future holds if you don’t take action. This is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing!

We hear this all the time from successful people telling us but for some reason we ignore it. I think people feel there is some “secret” that they don’t know, when all it boils down to is action just like you said! Fear of failing is definitely a tough thing to overcome, but it is vital to success!

Great post thanks for much!

Hi Katie,

This was a great inspiration! But it’s not always the fear of failing that causes failure.

It’s very difficult when it seems like the whole world (friends and family), your only support structure is against you totally…What a sad situation when you are always told you are wrong???

It’s very hard for a person who has never had any good role models to stretch themselves to be something they have never known. It takes a lot of time and effort…scary, but very satisfying and sometimes very lonely!

One, is definitely the loneliest number, and pain is the only word that can describe the feelings of what if I didn’t do this then???? Is it better to lose all of your friends and family than to sacrifice one’s self??? Some families are very powerful and can reek havoc and cause loneliness and destruction…

You can’t go backwards, nor can you go forward… Each situation is totally different and warrants examination:) For instance, to go forward means to lose everything you are familiar with, even if it is not good for you. But the pain is too much to bear so you stay still or go forward; very slowly (baby steps)…

However, some (very few) move forward and gain a sense of self. To be true to yourself is the only way to overcome many years of false beliefs instilled into your head by someone totally consumed with control over you.

The best book I have found is by Garret La Porto, The Davinci Method…
That describes what someone with a poor support system goes through! It is fascinating to see what happens to people in situations they felt they had no control over.

It’s so sad to see how children are raised that are unique and are suppressed, by “well meaning” adults, through medication and sometimes advice of “Professionals”.

Fortunately, your creator, gives you a real sense of right from wrong and you may end up losing everything in order to gain peace and dignity…and know that you have not sacrificed yourself or that you have gone “insane” by others’ evaluations. It’s in your DNA.

God gave us a barometer to measure our feelings…Do we choose to ignore it,follow our our “Hearts” or follow our “Well Meaning” peers or family???

It’s kind of like a relationship, marriage. etc:) “Must you Sacrifice and Lose Yourself or Sacrifice without Sacrificing yourself!”…Am I making any sense???

Oh, the mind is very complicated, especially when those whom we think “LOVE” us are actually controlling us under the name of “LOVE”.

Anyway, You are going deeper and deeper, into something that confronts those who wish to examine and move forward. Unfortunately, most will not choose that path…

Thank you again for reminding me of my destiny. I am not an “Ostrich that Sticks My Head in the Sand” for the sake of not “Rocking the Boat”. I am following my Heart!

I’m glad that you are here to reach those not willing to succumb to a life of “Keeping the Peace”!

Again, you are very wise to be so young!

Awesome video Katie! I once read that the great Michael Jordan would sometimes lay in bed, doubting himself (even AFTER he had won multiple National Basketball Championships). I remember thinking, “WHAT???!!!??” … Yes it’s TRUE. Oddly enough, reading that article actually made me feel better about myself. I thought, “I guess we’re ALL HUMAN at times.” (even though Jordan is SUPERMAN).

No matter how well put together someone may be on the outside (and inside), we can all have those days when life gets the best of us; those times when we need an extra boost in motivation.

Katie’s got a great point here. You may want to consider focusing on what you WON’T GET as opposed to the reward (you WILL GET) to push through the times when the going gets tough.

And we ALL know that it’s THOSE experiences of accomplishment when you feel even better about yourself after you’ve pushed through an obstacle and accomplished something that may have been holding you back. Thanks for sharing Katie!

Hello Katie

You always provide such wonderful videos packed with such useful information.

That said, what you have missed out on today is the buildup of negativity that does occur as you get older.

Your words as a young looking 27 year old are as astounding and certainly very appropiate to anyone in your age range struggling to move forward, but for the slightly older generation who have missed this boat (yeah its me :) ), these habitual ways are far deeper ingrained and tbh make some of us far more apathetic.

I know totally that what you are saying is true and probably scientifically provable for those out there who think the Stephen Hawking is king(yup it really is embedded into physics if you look), but how on Earth do you break this self destructive mindset when all that you’ve seen is abject negativity??

Am sure that lots of people out there are thinking something similar, perhaps stating that this is BS, but I know and feel that this is correct and I for one have taken the wrong path and am still spinning my wheels!!

Sorry to throw negativity into the comments but somewhere there is an answer to this and I sorta believe that u have the answer!!! :)

Unrecognized fear keeps us from doing and accomplishing so much. It doesn’t have to be a “big” fear either. It does manifest itself in procrastination for me. But once I put myself out there and see results, it is so gratifying and I have the desire to continue. Now I just have to put myself out there more and continue to acknowledge that it’s my fear of not succeeding that slows me down. Thanks Katy for the video.
