I agree that authenticity is key. People can always tell by your body language if you’re trying to be someone you’re not. It’s painfully apparent…97% of communication is non-verbal (it comes from your tone of voice, posture, movement, expression, etc). It’s pretty impossible – barring some kind of federal spy training – to be someone you’re not if you consider that every tiny neurological impulse is sending a message out into the world, whether you’re consciously aware of it or not.

Thank you for that great post! Once you get away from the “old” marketing techniques and learn about “attraction marketing” it just makes sense. I know I used to use the old techniques because that is what I was taught, I was one of those people that was more interested in the sale, but I’m happy to say that in the last 6 weeks I have learned so much and its true, I am thirsty for knowledge, I do want more! When you start working every day, just remember, “what can I do today to improve the life of someone else”. It truly is about building relationships. I have an auto mechanic that I go to because of their outstanding customer service. If I have questions, they will take the time to explain something to me, they treat me as a “person” and I go back because of it, they have earned my trust.

Thanks again for everything that you and Katie do – you have truly have brought “value” to my life.

What you are talking about here is something that is the total truth. Building relationships where people trust eachother is major. If there is no trust then there can be no connectiona dn if there is no connection, nothing happens.

Great post Eric & Katie!! Really hit home for me. I’ve been trying to find the perfect way to build a business, looking for the best opportunity and seeing that that is not the most important thing. Building relationships has its rewards throughout our lives, personal and business. Some of my closest friends have derived from my business relationships. Starting out at ground zero and building up will build a strong and sturdy foundation. thanks for reminding me of what really is important.
