I was born in my life purpose. My destiny was before I was born written and I accepted it. I know a lot of people who are still searching and thats not so easy.
So I am glad to know who I am, what I want, what I need, what I don´t want and need, where I am from, where I am going to and what I believe in.

It helps people to remind themselves that there’s no life without a real purpose, i left my corporate career to go and find whatever it was my real purpose and my true potential! And your totally right, once you open your eyes and start looking for answers you evolve, you become a different person and you’re not afraid anymore of telling loud whatever it is you feel passionate about!

I still don’t have my purpose of my life. But, this video makes me to initiate on this. I don’t have real quiet time for my self to have a real true conversation. When I was single I love to wake up at 4Am and do my meditation. But now, my day to day routines have taken my time. With feeding, cooking, cleaning, working, …..etc.

Wow, I must say that you really touch something there. I would help people if there was money on this earth or not. I always felt the need to help others. Anytime I move away from helping others my life takes a bad turn so I know my purpose is to help others.

Katie, You must be the youngest ‘wise old owl’ I have encountered. You don’t seem old enough to have gathered all your wisdom and insight. What a great inspiration you are. You are absolutely right – sharing our knowledge, helping others achieve success can only increase our own. I don’t know why people can’t get that. You are contributing well to a greatly needed shift in the world towards living consciously and not as you call “being led like a dog on a leash by our subconscious minds”. You are an inspiration for all.

Great points on discovering your passion Katie. I truly believe that purpose in human nature most of the time always links to a persons understanding of their contribution beyond themselves to society to bring about positive change. A lot of internet marketing gurus and coaches get caught up in the figures and the technicalities that they often forget about the development and period of self discovery they went through before they even found their “golden touch” or their niche. When you are making a living, whether self-employed or employed, doing something you have no passion or fulfillment from, we tend to become consumed by our “work” which creates stress and unhappiness no matter how much money we are making. Before we are able to execute plays, we must know our position! Once we know our position, we study the position and the game plan. Then Execute with no Excuses! …Until we become the coach! Just like you Katie! Thanks and I would love to contribute articles to your blog if I can. Have a great day and keep it up!

Hi Katie,

I think one of the keys you hit on in this video is the fact that we have to stop looking outside ourselves to really find our purpose in life.

When we get into school and into the working world, we start trying to please everyone else. We want to make our teachers happy so we get good grade, so we do what they expect of us. We want a promotion at work, so we play the office politics and try to make our bosses happy. We want a happy family life, so we cater to our spouses.

While I’m all for helping others, we have to be careful that we’re not paying others before we pay ourselves. We can serve, but it has to be in the context of who we are and what we believe in.

We can only find that, when we clear out the clutter from our minds. And that can be difficult, especially if we’ve come to identify ourselves with that person who is trying to make everyone else happy.

Great video and advice.

Hey Katie!
I think finding your life’s true purpose and aligning with it… as sometimes we are so caught up in what we are ‘supposed’ to do that we have forgotten our true purpose and passions…is one of the most powerful things you can do in your life! Sometimes, it is a process that takes alot of soul-searching and courage to break the mold you have fit into your whole life. It may mean a career change, or cutting out some relationships in your life and gaining others.

I heard this idea best explained by Frederick Lehrman in his Prosperity Consciousness series that your friends and family see you as an actor in their life movie. When you try to change your character they may, or may not be happy for you because it might change their ‘movie’ and make them uncomfortable. They may also discourage you from changing because they simply love you and don’t want to see you hurt. Lehrman suggests making those changes you want, whether it be career, or otherwise, finding some success or clarifying your new purpose and then sharing with your family and friends.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful video on a topic very close to my heart!

hey katie, just found and subscribed to your utube site 2day and am transfixed. i am on the path of self-development and truly hope that this (self)consciousness shift / paradigm keeps snowballing. its time is long overdue. mayhaps this time it will be more grounded on self-success and true knowing as opposed to the drug induced fog of self-awakening of decades past. just wanted to ask if u could mention some of the books and materials which impacted you strongly. thanx for your humanity. best to you and all others. Hi Katie.

I enjoyed your video. You hit on many points that are very essential to ones fulfillment in life.

We are conditioned into a competitive environment from birth.

It’s all about who has the better, well behaved, cute looking child. Who’s child is the best in school. Then we adopt those beliefs and feel as if we are competing with everyone around us.

We are fueled by greed and selfishness. The problems in he world reflect this boldly.

People say that money is the root of all evil when it’s people greed towards money that is “evil”. Money is just a tool to place a value on goods and services.

I enjoyed your video and look forward to more.

Hi Katie~

I really love this video about purpose. I have been looking for mine for at least 4 years now. My myspace friend, Voxx the Psychic, told a few years ago that she could see me doing something spiritual, and suggested Feng Shui and Reiki… and blogging! I love creating peace, balance, and beauty in the home, so Feng Shui was my natural choice. I went to Feng Shui school, but the timing was off a little, with the economy it’s been hard to find clients. I love Reiki and I’ve done independent research, but I’m in the process of connecting with a mentor who can teach me hands on.

Ironically, I totally fell into blogging on my own website due to looking for ways to build my new business. I have been blogging spirituality for years now and I never thought of it as a career. Not until I found you and other new mentors! Now I see how I can fuse all of my desires and abilities into one amazing career. I’m looking forward to the future! The funny thing is I forgot about my wealth and blogging prediction from Voxx years ago… I just remembered her telling me this, AFTER I started doing it!

Don’t ya love it! <3

Many Blessings of Love and Abundance~

Hey Katie…I find your wisdom refreshing. I believe finding one’s passion and purpose is extremely important to a beautiful and fulfilling life. I also agree that this can be a changing dynamic as we grow and change and learn to relax into who we are. This is not always easy or even practical for people because of so many pressures and “shiny things” that draw our attention away from some of the more potent and important things in life. It is reminders such as your video that help people get a boost in their growth toward those things that are a bit more important and for that I think there are many people who probably owe you a bit of “thanks.”

If I were to add anything at all it would just be that understanding why we are here and learning to question things is a vital part of our growth. And…finding our life’s purpose may not even be the highest calling…but may act as sort of a guide to an even higher calling or higher purpose even more than your contribution to humanity as a whole…! After all…it may very well be that being a part of humanity could be a secondary issue in the bigger scheme of things…just some thoughts!

Hello Katie,

I was wondering, is your online marketing company your only source of revenue? I’m wondering because for myself, I’m unemployed at the moment and am at a critical turning point in my life and really do not wish to go back to the 9-5 lifestyle but I’m feeling like I have to in order to build wealth. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Thank you
Annie

Katie Freiling November 13, 2009 at 3:35 pm

Hi Annie, yes I make a full time income online. My income streams come from my network marketing company (see the Work with Katie page for more info), affiliate products and promotions, and my own coaching programs :) It definitely takes a bit of time to work up to a full time income online, so I suggest starting out part time while you work your 9-5 and as you make more money, you can slowly cut back your hours. Hope this helps!

It’s a beautiful thing when our purpose as well as ourselves evolve and grow, eventually turning towards a contribution to the whole. you put everything in to words! I found you through the tag “unconscious”, researching that. So, like you, I have been on a spiritual journey (just like I suppose everyone is now, whether they are awake to realize it is the question)… I wanted to share this quote with you:

“Believe nothing merely because you have been told it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings – that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide.”

— Buddha

Just like burning the past, freshening our outlook on life, exploring our belief systems, finding out who we really are. I have not read the Power of Now but I did read “Infinite Possibilities” by Mike Dooley. If you do not receive his daily ‘notes from the universe’ you can sign up at http://www.tut.com.

Thank you for sharing SO MUCH SPIRITUALITY, wisdom, and inspiration for all of us. Kuaui sounds like a dream. Thank you…

Hello Katie,
Your video helps validate thoughts I’ve had, so thank you for sharing your insights with the world and for giving so unselfishly.
If everyone could take the time to discover their passion & purpose and then have the courage and determination to take it to fruitition, the world would be a better place. Your video is truly inspirational and I like the part when you said that your purpose may change.

Many people consider change as wishy washy but if you have that KNOWING and belief that you’re being lead by a higher power you can see that that change was meant to happen and there was a lesson to be learned at that juncture.

Excellent video Katie. Thanks again!

I am very fortunate to have great mentors in my life that continually ask this question “What is your purpose?” I’ve been through some transformational weekends with coaches who are mastery on this topic. And the answer that came from within…my message of life, or lifes purpose is to teach love and healing. I came here to be a healer. These are incredible questions to ask of myself once again. I love the idea that we become more fulfilled when we give. And to give up that self-serving attitude. I am ready for a time of reflection with myself once again. :)

So many people are seekers. It’s time to become finders or we will spend our whole lives seeking for the thing that lies deep within our hearts.

In answer to your questions, my skills are many but I would sum them up as “Teacher.” I am a good teacher and communicator.

I am passionate about transformation. So, I guess my contribution to the world is teaching about transformation and I do that through the medium of health and wellness :-) LOVE my life purpose!
