Let me first start off by saying hello to everyone. My name is Mark Danner and I retired from law enforcement in 2007 with 20+ years. I wanted to start my own business and try and help our community. Well back in October 2007 I purchased 2 pieces of property the first was for my oldest son and his family who moved back to the area. This house was to be his as soon as he could get his credit situation corrected. At the time he was able to pay the rent, but lost his job and now my wife and I are paying 3/4 of his rent. The other property is the business and I have my disabled cousin living there. I only get $1040.00 dollars a month, my cousin pays part and Hud pays. I went out and got construction loans from a couple of institutions. 1 is 71/2% the other is 10%. I had hope everything would have been done a year ago and if it had I would have been okay, but do to road blocks along the way it has taken an additional year. The businesses just opened 4 weeks ago and the money is gone and I need to start generating income to pay the bills. I have an on-line web store@www,casadefuchsia.com and four other businesses. All nut 0ne opened four weeks ago. I have had one opened for a year and it takes care of itself actually we are pretty much break even. I am opened to advice and suggestions. Well I want to take this time and thank Katie for this open forum, she is great.

Hello Katie and hello all. I have made a bit of a journey in the last 6 months. I was laid off from a job I’d had for five years. I went through alot of soul searching during that time. I discovered a wonderful wireless company called Lightyear. We market everything wireless, from cell phone service, voice over internet and land line phone service. We have professional relationships with Dish Network and Travelocity in which I can benefit from customers that use these services through me.

I’ve been reading you for a couple weeks now, I first saw you on Yaro’s website, and I think what you are doing is great and your energy and bubbly personality are refreshing and enjoyable.
I appreciate the offer to post “about me” on your site, it goes to show that you truly are here to help others.
I started personal training when I was about 19 yrs old, and at the time I fell in love with helping people, but at the same time had no idea how to market myself in order to reach a much larger audience. When I was 24 I decided it was time to get myself into medical school (A lifelong dream), and I just recently finished (August 2009). At this point, I decided I really wanted to reach the world and help educate others about living a healthy life, so I dove in and started my own health education business. It’s been about 6 months now, and finding people like you have helped me quite a bit. Since I am a board certified physician, I’ve also decided that I wanted to help those behind me with their medical education. I’ve also started a website that helps others with their United States Medical Licensing Exam preparation, and I wrote a 500 page prep book and am helping others via my second business called “USMLE Success”
When I started I was all about “how do I make money”, but after finding yourself and through Yaro’s site, I’ve realized I had to focus on “how do I reach and help more people”, and I’ve found more success once taking that approach, which I credit to people like yourself.

Hi Katie, Great blog!
I have recently become a Stay at Home Mom and to earn income,
I became partners with the largest Marketing School Online in March 2010 (Big Ticket to Wealth) and feel that I have learned an amazing amount of skills to be an Internet Marketer in such a short amount of time, of course I’m still learning though. I like the fact that all the information is available on one website in my back office and that I don’t have to go through the Internet to digg or learn more information. You are without a doubt one of the best. I have tried for the past two years to get my businesses going, however do to county codes and other roadblocks it has taken longer than I had thought it would. After coming from a Law Enforcement career and now attempting something completely different is no easy task. I have spent a ton of money getting this far and now trying to make it work, just to pay the bills. I feel at times so overwhelmed that I lose my direction. I know I need to hire people, but do to the length of time it has taken to get going I have no funds let for employees. I am stuck doing a lot on my own. I have a total of 5 businesses that are up and running as of 7 weeks ago. Four are based on the same property and one is in town. They are Casa de Fuchsia Garden Gallery,Antiques/Collectibles,Sun Wind Solar Systems and Casa de Fuchsia Gift Gallery @casadefuchsia.com.
