How To Add A Picture (Gravatar) To Your Blog Comments

If a picture is worth a thousand words… Why not always make sure you leave your beautiful face on every blog comment you make?

Leaving comments on other people’s blogs is a great way to get more industry wide exposure and to become more ‘recognizable’ in the community.  You can also drive quite a bit of traffic back to your site if you leave intelligent and thoughtful comments on highly trafficked blogs…

But if you don’t include your picture next to your comment, you probably won’t be recognized very much at all.  If you want to make the MOST out of your blog comments and become more well-known in the blog communities, you’ve gotta include your picture. It’ll help people identify you more easily and recognize you throughout the different blog sites you visit.

It’s very simple and easy to do… Just click ‘Play’ on the video below and I’ll walk you through the process:

So, right now… Head over to http://www.gravatar.com and sign up for a free account.  Once you do, leave me a comment down below and let me know what a difference it made!  I’d love to see as many bright shining faces in the comment box as possible!

And please make sure you share this with your friends on Twitter, Facebook, and other social communities!  Use the Twitter icon down below to ‘tweet’ this training out to your followers! They’ll definitely appreciate it!  Thanks a bunch…

Hi Katie,

I had never heard of you prior to today but I see you have a very strong web presence and following. I am a total newbie to the blog game but I’ve been using my due diligence by following people who are doing things I want to do and I stumbled across your site. It’s funny because I had started feeling really green because I could not figure out how people were adding their pictures to all of the individual blogs. What’s even funnier is that once I got to Gravatar.com I already had an account! LOL

Many Blessings Your Way…

Hi Katie!

Thanks for this article!

I’ve been searching for help with this issue ever since I set up my blog, about 2 weeks ago.

I went to the Gravatar site, added my picture, but I still couldn’t get it to show up. I saw where it said that I needed to “enable” the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.

To do that, I clicked on “settings” in the admin/options. Then I clicked on “writing” & then scrolled down to “Remote Publishing.”

That is where I found the “XML-RPC” in front of a box that I checked, & then I clicked save settings.

It seems every thing went through.

We shall see after I click “Submit Comment.”

Keep your fingers crossed!

Here we go!

Thanks for the info Katie. You were right about how easy it is. If you go to gravatar.com and it tells you that there is already an account for your email address and you don’t remember signing up, try your wordpress.com password. According to the “lost password” process, they may be the same.
