When you have new visitors come to your site, one of the very first things they will do is click on your “About Me” page… They’re gonna want to know more about you! So it makes sense to have a super compelling story that builds rapport, trust, and credibility, right?
In the video below, I share with you some of the fundamentals to crafting an “About Me” story that connects with your readers, encourages them to keep following you, and compels them to take action!
So… Another thing I want to add here is feel free to get creative! Your “About Me” page does not need to look just like mine… Give it your own style and flair! Be you! Some of you may want to elaborate a bit more on your personal story or maybe link out to different posts that really represent your style and who you are as a leader… What I’ve shared today is pretty much a baseline that you can work off of.
And as always, I’d love to hear from you! Give me a shout out down below and some FB or Twitter love! Thanks so much!
To Your Ultimate Success,

Great info Katie, I’ve neglected telling more about myself particularly on my blog, so time to get at it. You’ve made my job here a little easier with your tips. Thanks

Your training is invaluable. As awlays keep posting great information for all to use.
Hi Katie,
great video on creating your about me page. I’m still getting started in the online world and this video was very helpful.
I’m new to your content but have watched a couple of your YouTube videos so far and am loving what I’m seeing
. You definitely put out good stuff!
I heard about you through JB and his new GetTraffic3.0 program. I am a part of that class and looking forward to what I’ll learn from it and especially your part of that training program. What you’ve done just on the social side if simply impressive!
my name’s Matt, but my nickname’s Shorty. Got it when I was a teen and it kinda stuck
. Today some of my best friends know me as Shorty. Now that I’m embarking on creating a “brand” for myself I thought I’d use my nickname in my personal brand as I figure it should help me stand out a bit more.
Anyway, just wanted to drop ya a quick line to introduce myself, say hello and let ya know I appreciate what you’re putting out…
…see ya around the net!

That is really great advice Katie. I have been working on a new draft for my About Me for a while, and just wasn’t happy with it. I think this is just the advice I needed to polish it up.
I read a number of blog posts about creating about me pages but didn’t find any of them very useful.

Great tips. I never thought of the subtitles!! Visual presentation is so important. I have a lot of my marketing materials designed professionally so I don’t “create” much but for the stuff I will create on my own this is a great tip. I am looking to add this to make my biz even more successful
Really great video on crafting your story Katie
This has always been my favorite part. Having been a theatre arts major and studying film, I feel stories really connect us humans together.
Hi Katie,
I guess I have to work on my bio some more. My current version sucks, maybe I should talk about that in there!

I thought that the content in your blog was already what and who you are, but I get your point that the bio is definitively a sale pitch even more important than the rest of the website (well, outside of the landing pages and such.)
Thanks for the video!

Just thought i would comment and say neat design, did you code it yourself? Looks great.
Hi just thought i would tell you something.. This is twice now i’ve landed on your blog in the last 3 days looking for totally unrelated things. Spooky or what?
Just thought i would comment and say neat theme, did you code it yourself? Looks great.
Thanks Katie for posting this. You bring up some very important points when creating this page. Thanks for you insight on mentioning the low points in one’s life. You are correct that we are all human and we make mistakes and should view them as opportunities to grow.

Hi Katie,
I’ve been trying to find ‘Contact Katie’ to e-mail you!
I would like to know what steps or resources you take to protect your privacy and personal details you don’t want to share? I need to write my ‘About me’ page and would like to start writing about personal experiences and creating videos.
Before I start broadcasting my name and face all over the internet I want to make sure that details like my home address, my family and any other important details remain anonymous. I’m finding it very hard to research or recieve any clear instructions on this subject that relieve my concerns. I live in a small town so this worries me more than if I was in a big city.
Perhaps you could do a post on this or send me to an excellent resource?
Thanks, Vanessa
