This is a great post. I am blogging on relationships,and you really have to connect with the problems readers are going through. I rely on my own personal experiences, and dont pretend to be an expert. This helps me write on the level with my readers and really connect with how they feel.

You can’t do that by just bragging about your expertise or trying to push a product. Granted, i have a few products, and I occasionally do a product review, usually at the request of my readers who are asking about the products in my sidebar.

It all comes down to giving your readers what they want, and driving them to your offer.

You said above “Before you can fully be present with and connect with those around you, you must fully understand yourself.” There are these personal growth seminars called Insight. The main saying that they have is “Take care of yourself so you can take care of others.”

Also how you treat yourself is how you will treat others. The very famous saying about this is “Misery loves company.” If you are having fun doing business then others will want to join you and make money while having fun.

I fully and completely agree with Dante, I came for a visit and stayed for the heart! My having launched my blog a couple weeks ago is actually a direct impact of having “met” you! I don’t really know how I got here, but I immediately was at “home” with your approach. I was so thrilled to see someone that brought the personal, emotional and spiritual side before the business side. Too many today are chasing the golden calf, and burning relationships not building them. Thank you for showing that you CAN stay true to your spiritual roots while thriving in this environment. Katie, I completely agree! As soon as I found out what attraction marketing was I fell in love with it!
